"There are a few things in life so beautiful they hurt: swimming in the ocean while it rains, reading alone in empty libraries, the sea of stars that appear when you’re miles away from the neon lights of the city, bars after 2am, walking in the wilderness, all the phases of the moon, the things we do not know about the universe, and you."

I know you like to read a lot, so could you recommend some books to me? I like fantasy and sci-fi generally. Thank you!

acciotardis:

Ohh yes I can do that! Fantasy is my favorite, so everything I’m about to list is in fact Fantasy.

  • The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. It currently has two books, The Way of Kings, and Words of Radiance. It’s going to eventually be a ten book series. And it’s absolutely fantastic. I’ve read both books twice in the past four months, and I’m nearly ready to read it a third time. That’s how good it is. If you like Fantasy, you can’t not love it. The world and the magic system and the characters, I can’t even put it into words. It’s seriously my favorite series right now. I don’t even want to tell you anything about it. I went in knowing nothing and it was just an amazing, life changing experience. So, yeah, read it.

  • The Mistborn Series by Brandon Sanderson. It’s three books. The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension, and The Hero of Ages. And it’s absolutely amazing and it will break your heart. The world is very unique and intense and the characters are just so real. Also allomancy! It’s the coolest thing ever. There’s a nice balance through out the books between magic, religion, politics, and war, and it’s just a fantastic series. Just read it. You won’t regret it.
(Also there’s another book, called The Alloy of Law, which is set in the same world, but comes 300 years after the events of the first three)

  • Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. It’s a stand alone book and it is really very wonderful. Basically all you need to know is magic and zombies…of sorts. Really though the characters are fantastic and the story is super interesting, and it was just a really fun book.

  • Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson. This book is supposed to be getting a sequel at some point. But right now it’s just the one. And let me tell you, the world is very colorful and the characters are absolutely breathtaking, and if you read the book you’ll roll your eyes at me cause I’m just making puns now. But seriously, it is super good, there are two awesome leading ladies whose hair color changes with their moods, and there are gods and a talking sword (no really, but it’s cool, trust me) and it’s got a lot of twists and turns and it’s really quite a fun book.

And the greatest part of all? All of those books are set in the same universe, called the Cosmere. And it’s all connected in many different ways and it’s just really the coolest thing I think I’ve ever seen an author do. Really. It’s incredible complex and just…wow.

Those are the only Brandon Sanderson books I have read thus far, but it’s safe to say I would recommend you read anything and everything written by him. Also if you have already read any or all of those books, I apologize for being no help at all. I mean, I could recommend other books too, but these are pretty much the only books on my mind at the moment. But if this wasn’t helpful let me know and I’ll recommend other stuff too! :)

"it was serious, clint"
"yeah but i had a thing"
"PEOPLE DIED, CLINT.”

in an alternate scenario: clint is like “WELL YEAH I WAS BUSY. DID YOU HEAR ABOUT ALL OF EURASIA GETTING WIPED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH” “…no?” “YEAH. YOU’RE WELCOME FOR THAT.”

Basically I want Clint to be like this

someone legitimately took the time and money to write out this letter EXACTLY as it appears in Goblet of Fire, and COVER IT IN STAMPS. THEY EVEN SEALED IT WITH WAX.
